The Horticulture Association of Bhutan (HAoB) is a non-profit organization established in 2018, officially recognized as a Sector Association under Section 8 of the Guidelines for the Formation & Endorsement of Sector Associations. We are proudly registered under the Royal Charter of the Bhutan Chamber of Commerce & Industry 2022 and operate in full alignment with the laws and regulations of the Kingdom of Bhutan.

What We Do

HAoB operates at the heart of Bhutan’s horticulture sector, offering technical guidance, strategic coordination, and market linkage services to over 160 farmer groups and cooperatives nationwide. Our focus areas include:

HAoB proudly works with a diverse and dynamic network of over 300 active farmer groups and cooperatives, involved in the cultivation and commercialization of:

  • Flowers

  • Processed horticultural products

These groups form the backbone of Bhutan’s horticulture economy. We convene regularly through annual general meetings, knowledge-sharing platforms, and stakeholder consultations to ensure everyone’s voice is heard and their efforts supported.
