Join HAoB

Full Membership​

HAoB welcomes the memberships of cooperatives, farmers groups and individuals, as well as any business or private sectors, with an interest and involvement in horticulture.

Opens to organizations that represents the interest of grower and / or landscape business. Members share the right of general benefits of full membership and are also provided with an opportunity to enter as a candidate for the annual HAoB national grower. Full members have the right to cast a vote on associative decisions. Full membership includes those who are certified by DAMC and those private sectors under MOEA.

  • Members will be sent invitations to attend meetings with the government and other stakeholders regarding decision making processes.
  • Members will be provided with first-hand information regarding the current policies, rules and regulations.
  • HoAB supports the horticulture business in providing strength through its recognition by the private and public sectors both locally as well as internationally.
  • HoAB will represent members of horticulture in dealing with government and private sectors in matters related to the industry.
  • HoAB represents various government dialogues, forums, advisory planes and disciplinary committees.
  • HoAB shall support related and beneficiary projects/events organized by the government
  • HoAB will work hand-in-hand with the government, private sectors and other non-governmental organizations on projects, activities and issues which aims to aid the growth of the horticulture business.
  • Opportunities to promote one’s business/organization through HoAB’s meetings events and conferences.
  • Annual HoAB national grower of the year competition.
  • Access to a network of membership representing ornamental horticulture from all over the world.

Affiliate Member

Open to any Business or organization with an interest and involvement in ornamental horticulture that includes businesses that support horticulture industry such as manufacturers, young plant suppliers and breeders, individual grower/ landscape business and many more. Affiliates members also enjoy similar rights as that of full membership except that they do not have the right to vote on associative decisions.

  • HAOB will represent members of horticulture in dealing with government and public sectors in matters related to the industry.
  • HAOB will work with the government, private sectors and other non-governmental organizations on projects, activities and issues which aim to aid the growth of the horticulture business.
  • HAOB will provide appropriate training at various levels to the members.
  • HAOB opportunities to promote one’s business/organization through HAOB, meetings, events and conferences.
  • Is eligible to participate in Annual HAOB national grower of the year competition.

General Member

General members are those members of HAOB who are genuinely interested in becoming a part of the association. The member includes all the vegetable vendors of bhutan. These members are those who directly fall under the association and can directly appeal to the president if facing any issues and troubles.

  • HAOB will provide appropriate training at various levels to the members.
  • HAOB opportunities to promote one’s business/organization through HAOB, meetings, events and conferences.
  • Is eligible to participate in Annual HAOB national grower of the year competition.
  • Providing services to the members

Membership Fee

The annual membership fee of HoAB is according to type of membership as follow:

  1. Full membership fee will be charging Nu. 1500.
  2. Affiliates members fee will be charging Nu.1000.
  3. Support staff such as admin officers and finance officers employed in the companies shall not be included in the membership fee collection.
  • The members shall pay the annual membership fee in advance at the time of registration for the first year and at the renewal of the subsequent year.
  • The membership in general meetings will establish the membership fee annually for the following year. Subscription must be paid before March 1st of the same year.
  • Annual membership fee must be paid within 60 days of invoice. Members who have not paid their annual membership fee within that period are not allowed to vote and will have membership privilege withdrawn
